Domenico Tesco is the new Belgian nationwide football coach.
As the BFA association announced on Wednesday, the 37-year-old, who used to coached FC Schalke 04, signed a contract that includes the European Champion 2024 in Germany.
Tesco follows the Spaniard Roberto Martinez, who had stated his resignation after the World Cup initial round.
For me, it is a terrific honor to be the brand-new head coach of the Belgian nationwide group, said Tesco, according to an association announcement: I’m really looking forward to the job, and I am extremely motivated. I had a great feeling from the first discussion.
A job force from the association picked Tesco, which was released in September at the DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig, as a preferred service.
The German-Italian had previously taken care of Schalke 04 from 2017 to 2019.
