On the Fly on the Wall podcast, the previous SNL cast members discussed Farley’s legacy heading into the 25th anniversary of his death. Rock praised Farley and described that the success he had was because of his comedic talent while also comparing him to the Chicago Bulls legend Jordan.
Carved chimed in on how Farley might take over a sketch, and no one had a problem with that:
Chris Farley dealt with Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995. He went on to pursue a film career and starred in films such as Tommy Boy, Black Sheep and Beverley Hills Ninja. Farley, regrettably, died of an overdose in 1997 at the age of 33.

NBA renames MVP award as Michael Jordan Trophy
The brand-new award is called the Jerry West Trophy, which is awarded to the Clutch Player of the Year. Last season, the NBA presented the Magic Johnson Trophy and Larry Bird Prize provided to the MVP of each Conference Final.
The Defensive Player of the Year is now understood as the Hakeem Olajuwon Prize. The Novice of the Year is now called the Wilt Chamberlain Prize, while the Sixth Guy of the Year is now named after John Alice. George Milan was also honored by renaming the Most Improved Gamer of the Year after him.
The brand-new MVP prize was carefully crafted by Mark Smith, a former worker at Nike and Jordan Brand. It stands at 23.6 inches and weighs 23.6 pounds, which referrals MJ’s jersey number and total championships won.
The NBA announced on Tuesday that they will relabel five existing specific awards and add a new one for the existing season. The MVP award will now be called the Michael Jordan Prize, honoring the famous career of the six-time champion.
