After three years, Dragon Ball Super is back with another feature film adventure. This time, the focus has been removed from the protagonist of the series, Goku, and has been fully placed in his son Gohan, along with his Mentor Piccolo, while they face the army of the red ribbon that returns. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods established a precedent for Dragon Ball films being Canon in the general plot, but DBS: Super Hero continues that trend? Here is everything we know about whether Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is Canon.
Is Dragon Ball Super: Superhero Canon?
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is considered a canon. How do we know? Like Dragon Ball Super: Broly and the two previous films of DBZ Battle of Gods and Resurrection: F, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has the approval seal of the creator of the series, Akira Toriyama.
This is the fourth time that Toriyama is directly involved in the development of a Dragon Ball movie and presents an original script and characters designs. Toriyama was the one who made the decision to focus attention on Piccolo and Gohan for this film and personally designed the new antagonists of the Red Army, as well as their vehicles and their base.
The rival in conflict of Goku and Vegeta, Broly, can also be seen in the advances confirming that the film is a sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly of 2019, also written by Toriyama. DBS: Super Hero apparently advances over time with respect to general continuity in Dragon Ball. Bread, lastly seen when I was a baby in the Dragon Ball Super anime, is now training with Piccolo. The movie posters have also shown that Goten and Trunks, the children of Goku and Vegeta, have entered adolescence.
When does Dragon Ball Super take place: Super Hero?
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero takes place after the most recent events of the manga dragon ball super . While the Anime Dragon Ball Super ended in 2018, the manga continued over the years with The Galactic Patrol Prisono Saga, which showed the Z Warriors in a desperate fight against the deadly sorcerer, Moro.
The manga is currently finishing its last arch, Granolah the Survivor Saga. Neither of these two arches has adapted anime, which has led many fans to reflect on when Dragon Ball Super takes place: Super Hero in the timeline.
Dragon Ball’s prominent reporter, DBS Chronicles, responded to a fan on Twitter and confirmed that DBS: Super Hero takes place after the Granolah the Survivor saga.
If you know the existence of manga arches, then
1. Universe survival
3. Galactic patrol prisoner
4. Granolah, the survivor
5. SUPER HERO
If you don’t know the manga arches, then
1. Universe survival
3. Superhero https://t.co/tqaxdltqg4

This would be aligned with the aged versions of bread, goten and trunks that are seen in the trailers. Dragon Ball: Super takes place in the ten years between the defeat of Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z and the World Martial Arts Tournament at the end of the series. The time jump in DBS: Super Hero suggests that the series is ready to close the ten-year gap. That is all we know about whether Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is Canon .
