PlayStation presents its new subscription service!

After months of rumors, today Sony finally confirmed its new subscription service that combines PlayStation Plus with ** PlayStation Now, as well as granting certain additional benefits. This service is divided into three categories, each of them offering different types of games, and here we tell you all the details about it.

The first category is basically the way PLAYSTATION PLUS currently works, without any type of modification. That is, you will get free games every month, storage in the cloud, access to online games and exclusive discounts. Its price will also remain the same.

This category adds up to a total of 500 PS4 and PS5 games, which you can download at any time your console. It will include games both First-Party and Third-Party, just do not expect Sony’s exclusives to get to the service.

– Latin American price: $ 10.49 per month / $ 27.99 quarterly dollars / $ 66.99 per year

– United States Price: $ 14.99 Monthly Dollars / $ 39.99 Quarterly Dollars / $ 99.99 Annual Dollars

Premium includes all the benefits of Extra and Essential, in addition to adding 340 additional games to the catalog, including Titles of PS1, PS2, and PSP, which you can download or play via streaming. There will also be PS3 titles, but these only can be played via streaming. The game by streaming can be carried out from a PS4, PS5 and up to PC. Additionally, members of this category will also receive tests for limited time of certain games.

Now, in the specific case of Latin America where we still do not have access to the cloud Gaming, the Premium category will be known as “ Deluxe ” and will remove PS3 games. However, all other benefits will be maintained, including PS1, PS2 and PSP games.

In case you already have a subscription to PS now , it will automatically become one of PS Plus Premium and you will not be made any additional charge. In the same way, it will no longer be possible to acquire a membership to ps now since this service will stop working independently.

When will this new service be launched?

According to Sony , this service will begin to launch as of June this year at certain Asian markets, and later it will reach North America, Europe and the rest of the countries that They have access to PS Plus. The goal of the Japanese company is that, by the end of the first half of this year, the vast majority of regions already have access to this new service.

Additionally, Sony promised that they will be expanding their coverage of cloud gaming, thus confirming their intentions for bringing this service to Latin America . Unfortunately, they still did not give specific details about dates or anything like that.

Once this new service finally reaches our hands, it will be accompanied by games like Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Rental . With the passage of time, more games will be added to the catalog, but I repeat, do not expect the exclusive first-party to come from day to this service.

Editor’s Note: I think it’s a very good offer that will certainly be of great value for users, and considering everything it offers, it is difficult to ask for more. Yes, it is disappointing the case of PS3 games, but we hope that Cloud Gaming will soon arrive at Latam.
