Last summer, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar rose with the FC Schalke 04 from the Bundesliga, now the 38-year-old has a new job. As Ajax Amsterdam confirmed on Sunday, the ex-attacker moves into the management of the Dutch Master.
“Ajax has stayed in contact with Klaas-Jan since his change to Schalke. We knew from his interests and his ambitions, in the future of technical director at a professional club,” Managing Director Edwin van der Sar said in the press release of the club.
Huntelaar should now support the technical director Gerry Hamstra. Thus, Ajax Amsterdam also reacts to that from Marc Overmars. The former Ajaxs chief had to leave the club in February after reports of sexual harassment at work on the daylight had reached.

According to “NRC Handelsblad” Overmars sent numerous Ajax employees of his genitals as well as sugar text messages. By contrast, those affected could not defend themselves. Within the association, the 48-year-old was supposedly called “horny cousin”.
