Capcom “resolves” demand for supposedly stolen textures of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry

Last year, Judy A. Juracek photographer filed a lawsuit against Capcom, claiming that the publisher used at least 80 of his copyright photos to create franchise textures such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. Juarek lawyers have now issued a statement that the situation has been “resolved amicably” by Capcom, and that demand will no longer be followed. Unfortunately, the exact details about the resolution are not clear, but it seems that both parties are happy with the results and can now go ahead.

¬ęCapcom and Judy Juracek have resolved your dispute on the alleged use of the photos of Mrs. Juraracek in the Games of Capcom. On February 7, 2022, a dismissal was presented before the district of Connecticut to put an end to demand. ” A statement from her lawyers says.

In the original demand of it, Juracek pointed out the violation of Capcom data by 2020 as evidence that the company was using images of the Book of Her 1996. Superficies. Juracek has licensed the images of her to the clients over the years, but she did not have an employment relationship with Capcom. The violation of data revealed internal illustrations of the Games of Capcom, and some pirated files had the same names as those of the CD-ROM that came with Superficies. In the presentation of the demand of it, Juracek pointed out more than 200 times that Capcom supposedly used images without the consent of it. For example, there were times when an image of broken glass of the Games of Capcom was incredibly like an image of broken glasses in superficies.

With resolute demand, it will be interesting to see if CAPCOM develops some kind of official employment relationship with Juracek. Capcom games are known for offering amazing worlds that seem realistic and credible, and textures from Juracek’s photographs could help the publisher in the future. Of course, Capcom has not revealed any official plan for the future of Resident Evil or Devil May Cry, so fanatics will have to wait and see what happens!
